Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2, 2026

The short version

Voltaska is open source. If you self-host, your data never touches our servers. If you use our cloud service, we collect only what's necessary to provide the service. We don't sell your data. We don't do creepy tracking. That's it.

Self-hosted users

If you self-host Voltaska, we collect nothing. Zero. Your data stays entirely on your infrastructure. The application makes no calls to our servers. You're in complete control.

Cloud service users

If you use Voltaska Cloud (app.voltaska.com), we collect and store:

  • Your email address (for authentication and account recovery)
  • Your tasks, projects, and related data (that's the product)
  • Basic usage analytics to improve the service

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Your tasks are encrypted at rest and in transit.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics on this website to understand traffic patterns. It's privacy-focused and doesn't use cookies. We don't track individual users or build advertising profiles.

Third-party services

For our cloud service, we use:

  • Vercel for hosting
  • A secure database provider for data storage
  • Email service for transactional emails

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and our data processing agreements.

Data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, we remove all your data from our systems within 30 days.

Data export

You can export all your data at any time. No lock-in means you can leave whenever you want, with all your data intact.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify users via email and update the date at the top of this page.
